General​

What is SillySwap?​

SillySwap is a privacy-focused trading interface for Hyperliquid. It uses Silhouette to shield your trades from on-chain observers.

What are the fees?​

  • Silhouette: 0.1% trading fee per swap
  • Hyperliquid: Trading fees built into swap prices
  • Deposits/Withdrawals: No fees

What tokens can I trade?​

Currently: HYPE ↔ USDC. More pairs coming as Silhouette expands support.

Swapping​

Why do I need to deposit first?​

Swaps happen inside Silhouette's shielded pool. You need funds in the pool before you can trade.

How long do swaps take?​

Milliseconds. Swaps execute as limit orders on Hyperliquid and fill almost instantly.

What's the minimum swap amount?​

$1 USD equivalent for any swap.

Strategy​

What is the Strategy feature?​

An automated RSI-based accumulation system. It buys more HYPE when oversold, less when overbought.

Do I need to keep the app open?​

Yes, currently the app must be open at 00:00 UTC for execution. Background execution is planned.

What happens if I miss a day?​

The day is logged as "skipped (app closed)". Your daily top-up still accumulates.

Can I have multiple strategies?​

Not yet. One active strategy at a time. Multi-strategy is on the roadmap.

How is RSI calculated?​

14-day RSI using Hyperliquid's daily candle close prices. See How RSI Works.

What's the difference between Pause and Archive?​

Pause temporarily stops execution but keeps your strategy visible on the dashboard. You can resume anytime.

Archive hides the strategy from view. Use this when you're done with a strategy but want to keep the history. Archived strategies can be restored.

What happens if execution fails?​

The strategy retries with exponential backoff (2, 4, 8 minutes). After 11 consecutive failures, the strategy auto-pauses to prevent issues. You'll need to manually resume it.

What does "Execute Now" do?​

It triggers an immediate buy using the current RSI value. This counts as today's execution - the strategy won't execute again at 00:00 UTC.

How does the virtual balance work?​

Your daily top-up amount accumulates in a virtual balance each day. When a buy executes, it uses a percentage of this balance based on RSI. Any unused balance rolls over to the next day.

Privacy & Security​

Are my trades really private?​

Yes. Trades inside Silhouette's pool are not visible on-chain. Only deposits and withdrawals are public.

Is my wallet safe?​

SillySwap never has access to your private key. You sign messages with your wallet, but keys stay local.

Who controls my funds in Silhouette?​

Silhouette custodies your shielded funds. This is a trust-based system that enables privacy.

Troubleshooting​

My deposit isn't showing​

Wait 1-2 minutes for confirmation. If still missing, check the transaction status in your wallet.

Strategy says "Needs Auth"​

Your Silhouette session expired. Click the button to re-sign and authenticate.

Strategy says "Needs Deposit"​

Your Silhouette USDC balance is too low for the calculated buy amount. Deposit more USDC.

Swap failed with slippage error​

Market moved more than your slippage tolerance. Try again with higher slippage.

Strategy auto-paused unexpectedly​

This happens after 11 consecutive failed execution attempts. Check your Silhouette balance, re-authenticate if needed, and manually resume the strategy.

Session expired​

Your Silhouette authentication has a limited lifetime. Simply click the sign-in prompt to re-authenticate - it's gasless.

App Features​

What languages are supported?​

SillySwap supports English, Spanish, and Chinese. The app automatically detects your browser language, or you can change it manually.

Can I install SillySwap as an app?​

Yes. On mobile, use your browser's "Add to Home Screen" option to install SillySwap as a Progressive Web App (PWA).
