Solutions for common issues you might encounter in SillySwap.


Connection Issues

Can't connect wallet

Symptoms: The Connect button doesn't respond, or your wallet doesn't appear.

Solutions:

  1. Make sure you have a Web3 wallet installed (Rabby, Rainbow, MetaMask)
  2. If using a mobile wallet, open SillySwap from within the wallet's built-in browser, or use WalletConnect
  3. Try refreshing the page
  4. Clear your browser cache and try again

Wrong network

Symptoms: Wallet connected but transactions fail or balances don't show.

Solution: Switch your wallet to Arbitrum One (Chain ID: 42161). SillySwap only operates on Arbitrum. Most wallets will prompt you to switch automatically.


Authentication

"Needs Auth" / Session expired

Symptoms: You're prompted to sign in again, or balances stop updating.

Cause: Your Silhouette session has expired. Sessions expire periodically for security.

Solution: Click the sign-in prompt and approve the signature request in your wallet. This is a gasless signature — no transaction fees.

Signature request looks different than expected

What to expect: The signature message looks like Silhouette Auth: [timestamp]. If you see anything else, do not sign — it may not be from SillySwap.


Deposits & Withdrawals

Deposit not showing

Solutions:

  1. Wait 1-2 minutes for the transaction to confirm on Arbitrum
  2. Refresh the page
  3. Check the transaction status in your wallet or on Arbiscan
  4. If the transaction succeeded but your balance hasn't updated, try disconnecting and reconnecting your wallet

Withdrawal not arriving

Solutions:

  1. Verify your shielded balance decreased (the withdrawal was processed)
  2. Wait up to 15 minutes — withdrawals can take longer during network congestion
  3. Check your wallet on Arbiscan for the incoming transaction
  4. If still missing after 15 minutes, reach out on X

Swapping

Swap failed with slippage error

Cause: The market moved more than your slippage tolerance between when you submitted and when the order executed.

Solutions:

  1. Try again — the market may have settled
  2. Increase your slippage tolerance (gear icon in the swap interface)
  3. During volatile markets, use 1.0-2.0% slippage instead of the default 0.5%

Swap says "Session expired"

Solution: Re-authenticate with Silhouette by clicking the sign-in prompt. Then retry your swap.

Swap says "Minimum order size"

Cause: Your swap amount is below Hyperliquid's $10 minimum order size.

Solution: Increase the swap amount to at least $10.

Multi-hop swap failed

Cause: One leg of a multi-hop swap failed (e.g., due to slippage or liquidity).

What happens: Your funds remain in your shielded balance. No partial swaps occur - if any leg fails, the entire swap is rolled back.

Solutions:

  1. Try again - market conditions may have changed
  2. Increase your slippage tolerance to account for compound slippage across hops
  3. Try swapping a smaller amount

Swap takes longer than expected

Cause: Multi-hop swaps execute each leg sequentially, so they take slightly longer than direct swaps.

What to expect: Direct swaps complete in milliseconds. Multi-hop swaps typically complete within a few seconds. If a swap is still processing after 30 seconds, try refreshing the page.


App & PWA

App feels slow or unresponsive

Solutions:

  1. Check your internet connection — SillySwap requires live data for all operations
  2. Close and reopen the app
  3. If installed as PWA, try uninstalling and reinstalling

App doesn't work offline

By design. SillySwap intentionally does not cache data for offline use. Every price, balance, and swap is fetched live to ensure accuracy when handling real funds.
